FIFA WC :Ronaldo's header settle narrow 1-0 win for Portugal

 

Moscow [Russia], June 20 (NT):The great and famous striker of  Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo's goal in the early minutes of the match saved Portugal and it marked a narrow 1-0 win over 41st ranked Morocco in their second game in Group B of the current 21st edition of the FIFA World Cup 2018.

Here at the Luzhniki Stadium on Wednesday all eyes were on Ronaldo, who scored a  tremendous hat-trick in the opening match of FIFA world cup against Spain to help his side not only settle with a 3-3 draw but also hand them a surprising point.

And the Real Madrid forward did not let down his fans as he struck a header just four minutes into the match to present Portugal an early lead, a little which soon after proved to be a winning goal for his side Portugal.

Now Ronaldo has become Europe's all-time top international scorer as he scored his 85th international goal. Worth mention here He is now just behind Ali Daei of Iran, in the worldwide all-time scoring charts with 109 goals.

On a related note Morocco-who advanced the tournament with a 0-1 defeat against Iran and at the bottom of the group-have become the first team to go out the competition.

Portugal will cross the swords with Iran in their next Group B clash on June 25. (NT)
