Filmmaker Indrajit Lankesh arrives at Central Crime Branch office

Kannada filmmaker Indrajit Lankesh reached the office of Central Crime Branch in Bangalore on Thursday. Indrajit had claimed that drugs are being used in the Kannada film industry. He said that at least 15 people were involved.

Lankesh had also said , 'I have given the names of about 15 people, whom I know as drug mafia'. Lankesh was also questioned by the Central Crime Branch for about five hours on Monday. The filmmaker said that he wanted to highlight the use of drugs in the industry. Meanwhile, the police said that they are investigating this case. Indrajit Lankesh made these allegations after the death of actor Chiranjeevi Sarja.

Also, Jayaraj, president of the film chamber, said, 'No producer will hire him. We will not ban them. But the non-cooperation movement will be started. We could not get information about the actors who take drugs. Police will investigate this. If the actor has taken drugs in parties, then the police will find out this. Let us tell you that the case started when the Bangalore Police arrested some people for being connected to the drug racket. According to reports, NCB told the Bengaluru Police that actors of Kannada film industry are also connected to this racket. Also, the investigation of the case is going on continuously.
