Bangalore: According to a press release, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met with key entrepreneurs in the IT/BT, Startups, and Semiconductor sectors on Monday. Karnataka Minister Dr. CN Ashwatha Narayana was also present.The interactive discussion was attended by the founders, CEOs, and representatives of a number of organisations, including Wipro, Infosys, and Mind Tree. The entrepreneurs informed the Union Minister on the initiatives that needed to be implemented to help the above-mentioned four industries continue to thrive and expand their export potential. She expressed her delight at the state's startup environment during the conference, saying that Karnataka offers an example for others to follow. "We should take advantage of the economic potential in the semiconductor industry. In light of this, the Union Government has devised special plans. As a result, the Karnataka government is encouraging the expansion of this industry. The government will make an impact in this field as well "She expressed her opinion. During the discussion, state entrepreneurs raised the attention of the Finance Minister to the steps that need to be taken to boost IT exports even further. They also expressed their views on the current tax policy.
