Finance Minister Jaitley: Investigation of Panama Paper is on

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's statement about the future of Panama documents has come in light.

On Thursday, he said that all the disclosed accounts are being scrutinized but the government also made it clear that no one would be punished without proper procedure as it happened in Pakistan where Nawaz Sharif was removed from the post of Prime Minister.

Responding to the discussion on the Banking Regulation Bill 2017, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said in the Rajya Sabha that, "No government has ever acted as the government has taken action on the details of foreign bank accounts received here."

After the reply, the House passed the bill in a nutshell. Jaitley said about the disclosure of Panama Paper that every account is under investigation. They said, "We have a rule of law here, we do not have a structure like a neighboring country where you remove people from the first position and later hear the case."

He pointed towards Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
