Finance Minister Sitharaman makes the provision of crores for women-specific programs

Today is February 1 and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is going to present the first budget of the 2020s. This is the second budget of Nirmala Sitharaman's tenure. From 2014 to 2018, the late former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley presented the budget. The last interim budget of the first term of the Modi government was presented by Piyush Goyal while the first budget of the second term of the Modi government was presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in July. Nirmala Sitaraman will be the first woman Finance Minister of the country to present two consecutive budgets.

Finance Minister announced that 2500 crores have been given for tourism. At the same time, 99, 300 crores have been allocated for skill development. Finance Minister said, 'Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao has seen great results. More than 6 lakh Anganwadi workers have been given a summon. 35,600 crore is proposed for nutrition-related programs of 2020-21. There is a provision of Rs 28,600 crore for women-specific programs.

Budget session 2020: Finance Minister "More than 100 new airports will be built"

Apart from this, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman declared, 'The government will invest heavily to promote infrastructure in the country. Under this, modern railway stations, airports, bus stations, logistics centers will be built. Infrastructure companies will be appealed to add youth to their startups. Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Chennai-Bengaluru Expressway will be completed soon.
