203 Congress leaders, including Rahul-Priyanka booked for violating Section 144

Lucknow: An FIR has been lodged against former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi at the EcoTech Forest Police Station in Greater Noida. Police have filed an FIR against 203 Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. In the FIR, many sections have been leveled against these leaders. The case has been filed by the Gautam Budh Nagar police.

This FIR has been registered under Section 188, Section 269, 270 of IPC for violating Section 144 and risking the life of common people during the on-going pandemic. On behalf of the police, it has been said that Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi along with about 200 workers had reached Noida via DND to go to Hathras. There were about 50 vehicles in his convoy.

The police said that all the people present in that convoy were urged not to go ahead after imposing section 144 in the district, informing them about the situation of Corona, but all the workers and vehicles involved in the convoy violated the rules of traffic and the general Constructing traffic interruption for the public, they started moving towards Yamuna Expressway.
