Fire broke out at Maker Tower in Mumbai, 2 killed

Mumbai: On Tuesday, fire broke out at 20th floor of the sea-facing building in the Cuffe Parade area in Mumbai killing two persons. It was reported that the apartment from where the fire started belonged to Shekhar Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Electricals.

According to the resident, "I rescued two helps and a child...They are in a state of shock".

Author Shobhaa De, who stays on the fifth floor of the tower, said, "We found out around 6.30 am. Everything is calm and under control right now, the situation was very well handled by the fire department and the police.”

Fire officials said that, they rescued 11 people and the fire was brought under control within two hours.
