INDIA REPUBLIC DAY 2023: On January 26, the India will commemorate its 74th Republic Day. The celebrations include the customary march past at Kartavya Path that features a grand parade by the contingents of the Armed Forces and Paramilitary Forces, tableaux display by the States and Central Ministries/Departments, cultural performances by children, acrobatic motorcycle rides, and a fly-past.Online ticket sales for the main ceremony have already started. The Republic Day parade 2023 will include special official invitees, from rickshaw pullers to vegetable vendors, uniquely representing the spirit of a Republic nation. Narendra Modi-led Government took great steps in past years to include the participation of the common man in Government programmes. In this regard, this year’s republic day parade will mostly witness by the common man. India will commemorate its 74th Republic Day on January 26 this year. The majority of the attendees at the parade honouring the historic occasion will be regular individuals from all spheres of society. On January 18, the Ministry of Defence issued a circular in which it was stated that invitations for this year's Republic Day had been sent to regular citizens from all walks of life, including "Shramyogis," or the workers who were engaged in the construction of Central Vista, Kartvya Path, the New Parliament Building, milk and vegetable vendors, street vendors, etc. These Special Invitees will be conspicuously seated at Kartvya Path, according to the statement. The government has also declared that Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the president of Egypt, will be this year's chief guest at the Republic Day parade. Also taking part in the procession will be a marching band from Egypt with 120 members. Since the venue's old name of Rajpath was changed to Kartavya Path, this is the first Republic Day parade that has ever taken place. When the renovated Central Vista opened in 2022, Rajpath was renamed Kartavya Path. Last year, invitations were extended to sanitation workers, construction workers, frontline workers, and auto-rickshaw drivers to witness the Republic Day parade. The Modi government has worked very hard in recent years to highlight all of the nation's common people.
