Fishes don't have eyelids

Fish sleep. But it’s not sleep the way we think. They don’t have eyelids (except for sharks) to close, they sometimes do it during the day, and some, including most sharks have to keep swimming in their sleep.

They have certain fins which work even when they sleep and helps fish maintain balance. Fish, like most resting animals, are alert of danger whilst resting.
