FlyBig launches daily flight from Hyderabad-Gondia

HYDERABAD: On Monday, FlyBig Airlines operated its inaugural trip from GMR Hyderabad International Airport to Gondia, Maharashtra.

Gondia, Maharashtra's 'Rice City,' is recognised for its vast number of rice mills. According to an official spokesperson, it is also known for the Navegaon National Park, Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary, Kachargadh Caves, Hazra Fall, and other tourist attractions in the area.

The service is part of the UDAN plan, which aims to improve regional connection for travellers to Tier II-Tier III cities. Senior airport authorities, airlines, and other airport stakeholders greeted passengers as the inaugural aircraft took off from Hyderabad to Gondia.

At 06:20 a.m., FlyBig Flight S9401 will take off from GMR Hyderabad International Airport. The return flight, Fly Big Flight S9402, is scheduled to arrive in Hyderabad at 13.50 hours. The FlyBig service between Hyderabad and Gondia would be available every day of the week. With this service, the number of domestic destinations served by Hyderabad International Airport has increased to 70, up from 55 before COVID.
