On Wednesday, Maj General (Retd) Bikram Singh who was also former Congress Lok Sabha member from Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh passed away at Solan. 87 years old Bikram Singh is survived by his wife, a son and daughter. He was also Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Ex-Servicemen Corporation, Solan. Hailing from Daulatpur Chowk in Una district, Singh was elected to Lok Sabha as Congress candidate from Hamirpur Parliamentary constituency in 1996. Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker B B L Butail, cabinet ministers and host of other political leaders also expressed grief over Singh's death.
