Meerut: Former Indian cricketer Praveen Kumar's father-in-law Anil Kumar (55) has died after he slipped from the third floor of the house. He was a retired havaldar from the Army. He reportedly lived with his family at Sheikhpura in The TP nagar police station area. Family members said that Anil Kumar had gone to the third floor of the house to break the leaves of mint at around 10.30 am on Sunday morning. As the rain water filled the area, his foot slipped and he fell into an empty house on the third floor. The passers-by saw the incident and reported it to their families. The family members admitted the seriously injured Anil Kumar to KMC hospital on Baghpat Road. According to doctors, he had a fracture in both legs. He also suffered serious injuries to his head, shoulder and face. Anil Kumar succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment. Cricketer Praveen Kumar had also reached the hospital on information. Praveen Kumar told the press that the father-in-law's leg slipped due to the rain water on the roof and the accident took place. The TPnagar police also reached the spot.
