Father of former team India's bowler R P Singh's passes away due to corona

New Delhi: Shiv Prasad Singh, father of former Team India pacer RP Singh, has died of corona virus. This was reported by RP Singh through Twitter. Singh's father had been ill for several days and was undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital in Lucknow. Singh's father was recently hit by the corona virus and was having breathing problems.

R.P. Singh tweeted, 'With great sorrow, it has to be said that my father Shiv Prasad Singh has passed away. My father, infected with Korana, left us all on May 12. I request all of you to pray for the peace of their souls. Om Shanti Om.' Recently, the father of Indian spinners Piyush Chawla and Chetan Sakaria also passed away due to corona virus. Rp Singh was active in international cricket for 6 years.

 

 

He has taken more than 100 wickets in a total of 82 matches in all three formats. Rp Singh was the hero of Team India's historic victory in the 2007 World T20. At the same time, he was instrumental in India's victory in the Perth Test against Australia in the same year. Rp Singh has taken 40 wickets in 14 Tests. His best performance was 5/59.
