Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) chairman R.S. Sharma from the very start is a great supporter of Aadhaar card and regularly have denied that its details can violate the privacy of Indian citizens. In the same effort, he released his 12 digits Aadhar number and challenged that “My Aadhaar number is 7621 7768 2740 Now I give this challenge to you: Show me one concrete example where you can do any harm to me!” Within hours only the French security research, Elliot Alderson took the challenge and released some of the personal details in revert. In the number of series, the hacker revealed the contact number, alternative contact number, email id, even the phone which he used. The intellect also reached to his Whatsapp profile and while posting the image said: “I supposed this is your wife or daughter next to you”. However, he blackened the image of the lady behind. Further, while revealing other very private data he said: “People managed to get your personal address, dob and your alternate phone number. I stop here, I hope you will understand why make your #Aadhaar number public is not a good idea” Among the figures released Alderson entertained the challenge with the PAN card number too which is still active(though his numbers were blurred). The hacker informed that no bank account is linked to the Aadhar number. Further, Alderson expressed: “I probably need to say it again: I’m not against #Aadhaar. I’m only against people who think that #Aadhaar is unhackable" In between this series of Tweet the researcher also slammed RS Sharma's claim which says that there is no threat to an individual’s personal details via Aadhar card. “If your phone numbers, address, dob, bank accounts and others personal details are easily found on the Internet you have no #privacy. End of the story.” Alderson wrote down. He ends the conversation with the words: “you probably don’t know what #privacy is...and this ok. Please, try to learn more about privacy and after that I will happy to debate with you to know if #Aadhaar is a privacy nightmare or not” Notably, Sharma whose tenure is ending on August 9 recently stated that “Tell me what harm can you do to me if you have my Aadhaar details? I will give you my Aadhaar number if you like” What the great news amidst all this is that the French researcher who regularly engaged in revealing flaws in such technical innovation, later asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to publish his 12 digit Aadhar number. His Tweet reads: “Hi @narendramodi, Can you publish your #Aadhaar number (if you have one)? Regards,” Also Read: PM Modi LIVE: 60,000 crore investment in just five months for UP development PM Modi addressed the people of the country, through Mann ki Baat program PM Modi to inaugurate 81 projects worth Rs 60 thousand crores in Lucknow
