Shaan was born Shantanu Mukherjee on September 30, 1972), is an Indian playback singer. He is the son of the late music director Manas Mukherjee and the brother of singer Sagarika. He is married to Radhika and has two sons, Soham and Shubh. His grandfather was the lyricist Jahar Mukherjee,.His father died when Shaan was 13, after which his mother found work as a singer.

Shaan’s Career
Shaan singing career started at very early age. Shaan began his career by singing ad jingles. He also began to sing remixes and cover versions. In the 1989 movie Parinda, when he was only 15 years of age, Shaan sang a singular line in the song, Kitni Hai Pyari Pyari Dosti Hamari'.
The actor started his singing career doing pop albums with his singer sister Sagarika. They produced songs like "Loveology", which grabbed all the lime lights at that time. He later decided to go solo and has since produced quite a few romantic albums, earning him a lot of popularity. He has now started lending his voice to mainstream Hindi films (Bollywood).

He has sung songs of various movies Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi, Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai , Lakshya, Dil Chahta Hai, Kal Ho Na Ho, Hum Tum, Dhoom, Dus, Salaam Namaste, Fight Club, Don - The Chase Begins Again, Fanaa, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, and Om Shanti Om.
He had sung various big blockbuster songs including like “Rock And Roll Soniye” from Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, “Main Hoon Don” from Don – The Chase Begins Again, “Subha Ho Gayi Mamu” from Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.Of course, “Musu Musu,” “Woh Pehli Baar,” “Chand Sifarish,” and “Dastaan-e-Om Shanti Om.” The singer has hosted various season of Television singing reality roles.

Shaan Love Story
Shaan and his Lady Love Radhika met at Razzberry Rhinoceros, where a song Akbar Mera Naam was dedicated to Radhika, and she thought that it was Shaan who did this. Throughout the night, she presumed him to be Akbar and later got to know his real identity. Shan narrating his love story once said, “Actually, at 24, I found this 18-year-old to be naive and childish. But there were lots of coincidences that kept happening - like, she would be walking into a restaurant and I would be walking out of it, or we would bump into each other at a friend's party, unplanned.”Then the duo Shaan and Radhika realised
