Ganesh Chaturthi: Anant Ambani Gifts 20-Kg Gold Crown to Lalbaugcha Raja

MUMBAI: In a grand gesture for Ganesh Chaturthi, Anant Ambani, along with the Reliance Foundation, has gifted a stunning 20-kg gold crown to the Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai. The first look of the idol, adorned with this magnificent crown, was unveiled on September 5. Lord Ganesha is depicted in regal splendor on his throne, showcasing the elaborate gold crown.

The creation of this opulent crown took over two months to complete. Anant Ambani's significant contribution highlights his long-standing connection with Lalbaugcha Raja, a relationship that spans more than 15 years. During this time, Mukesh Ambani’s youngest son has actively supported various initiatives of the Lalbaugcha Raja.

Notably, Ambani donated 24 dialysis machines to the Lalbaugcha Committee during the COVID-19 pandemic as part of his ongoing support. He has also participated in the Ganeshotsav celebrations and the immersion ceremony at Girgaon Chowpatty Beach.

In recognition of his support, Anant Ambani has been honored with an honorary membership of the Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanil Ganesh Utsav Mandal and appointed as an executive advisor to the Lalbaugcha Raja Committee, underscoring the strong bond between him and the foundation.

The Lalbaugcha Raja Public Ganeshotsav Mandal is celebrating Ganeshotsav from Saturday, September 7, 2024, to Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Established in 1934 at Putlabai Chawl, the Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh idol has been cared for by the Kambli family for over 80 years. This year, the Ganesh idol was revealed on September 5, marking the start of the 10-day Ganesh Chaturthi festivities.
