Haridwar: Bathing in Ganga has started in the early hours of Haridwar on Mauni Amavasya today. A large number of devotees are taking a bath in the Ganges at various Ganga Ghats in Haridwar including Harki Paadi. Restrictions and cold are overshadowed here. This day has a special significance in Hinduism. Today is Mouni Amavasya. On this day, bathing in the Ganges is considered very important. Since Thursday morning, cold air has been blowing, due to which the weather has cooled, but it is not affecting the faith of the devotees. A large number of people are reaching Haridwar for bathing. The water in the Ganges is slightly muddy compared to the rest of the days. Due to the rain on the mountain, such water is flowing. Prior to the district administration, the obligation to register on the portal was made to come to Haridwar, but today the devotees are being given entry without registration at the border of the district. A random sampling of devotees has been arranged at the border of the district. To avoid any lapse, the state government has put the health department teams at Narsan, Chidiapur, Bhagwanpur and Sapta Rishi Border for random sampling. In view of the crowd in Haridwar, the movement of vehicles has been stopped beyond Shiv Murti Chowk. Only local people are being allowed to go ahead.
