New Delhi: Oxygen shortage had become a major problem during the second wave of coronavirus. Due to lack of oxygen, hospitals had to put in a lot of effort and due to this, deaths of patients were also reported from parts of the country. This came back after Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Bharti Praveen Pawar mentioned in the Upper House on Tuesday that states or Union Territories in the country have not reported the death of any covid patient especially due to lack of oxygen.
The Union Minister's statement comes after a question raised in the Rajya Sabha allegedly highlighting the number of deaths due to lack of oxygen. Replying to the remarks late on Tuesday evening, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi tweeted in Hindi tagging the government. He wrote in his tweet that 'It was not just a lack of oxygen. There was still a great lack of sensitivity and truth ? it was and still is today.'

On the same tweet, Union Minister and BJP firebrand leader Giriraj Singh hit back and tweeted in Italian. He wrote in his tweet, 'I would say about this Rajkumar: he still lacked mind, now he remembers it and he will remember it forever. These lists are governed by the States. You can ask the states ruled by your party to submit revised lists. Stop lying until then.'
