In the Union Territory of Pondicherry, a university student has alleged that she was stopped from attending the convocation because she was wearing a hijab. The student was among the students who received the gold medal. President Ram Nath Kovind attended the convocation as the chief guest. She said that she was allowed to attend the program after the President left. But she has come to know that when the other students present asked her the reason, she said that she is wearing a hijab maybe because of this.
