Global Market Watch: 3 Ethereum Exchange Traded Funds launch on the Toronto Bourses

Making another significant step in the cryptocurrency marketplace on Tuesday, April 20th, the Ontario Securities Commission approved the launch of three exchange-traded funds (ETFs) namely Purpose Ether ETF (ETHH), CI Galaxy Ethereum ETF (ETHX), and Ether ETF (ETHR).

In Canada, three new crypto exchange-traded funds that offer exposure to Ethereum (ETH-USD) will be launched on the Toronto Stock Exchange today.

The introduction of these three ETFs comes after the fact that just one month ago, the first-ever launched bitcoin (BTC-USD) exchange-traded fund Purpose Bitcoin ETF crossed the USD1B assets under the management threshold.

Canada has been leading the charge in North America regarding cryptocurrency ETFs, now launching multiple funds in multiple crypto assets.

In the United States, the U.S. Securities Exchange Commission has yet to approve its first bitcoin exchange-traded fund giving a head start to other names north of the border.

Meantime, Ethereum is trading at USD 2,182, -2.70 percent, while Bitcoin is at USD56,000, -1.86 percent.
