BJP showed excellent performance in Goa district panchayat elections

Panaji: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in Goa has performed well in the district panchayat elections. In fact, BJP has won 32 seats out of 49 here. With this, the Congress got only and only 4 seats. Independents have won 7 seats. Apart from this, the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party has got 3 seats and the Nationalist Congress Party and Aam Aadmi Party got 1-1 seat. Let us also tell you that there are 50 seats in 48 Zilla Panchayat areas in the state, but the election could not be held due to the death of the candidate in 1 seat. By the way, the polling for the district panchayat elections was held here on December 12.

You all will know that this is the first time in the state when the Aam Aadmi Party has won a seat in the elections. However, the party led by Arvind Kejriwal is aiming to contest most of the seats in the 2022 assembly elections in the state. At the moment, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant expressed happiness over the BJP's electoral performance in rural areas. Recently, he has tweeted a tweet in which he has said, 'He has bowed before the people of Goa to express his confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Goa government working under his leadership.'

Along with this, he has also said in a tweet that, 'By taking this trust and confidence forward, let's shape a superior and self-sufficient Goa'. Addressing the press conference after the result, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that 'rural voters have shown their confidence in the leadership of the BJP and the state government. In many Zilla Panchayat areas, the party won by a large margin.
