GoAir lifted the ban on services in the city

In view of the worldwide spread of infection related to Coronavirus, GoAir had banned its airlines in Mizoram but on Thursday withdrew the decision and announced that it would continue to operate. According to a press release, Kolkata will continue its GoAir operation in Kolkata-Guwahati-Aizawl sector on public appeal.

Earlier, domestic carrier GoAir has announced the suspension of its international flights from Tuesday in view of the Coronavirus crisis. Due to the decrease in the number of flights, the company will send its employees on leave without pay on a gradual basis. Due to the Coronavirus crisis, many countries around the world have imposed travel restrictions. This has affected global air traffic.

In its statement, the company further said that at the present time it had never experienced a sharp decrease in air traffic. It has announced the suspension of all its international flights from 17 March to 15 April. According to the statement, the company has decided to send employees on leave on a gradual basis. Salary will not be given for these holidays. Gradually, some employees will be kept away from the workplace at one time. This will help the company to deal with the effect of reduction in the number of flights.
