Saira Banu, wife of legendary entertainment superstar Dilip Kumar, said on Wednesday that the "reason for living" has been taken away after the death of the legendary superstar. Dileep passed away at the age of 98 on Wednesday morning at PD Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai after a prolonged illness. After his death, he said, Saira Banu:- According to a statement issued on his official Twitter account, Dilip Kumar will be handed over to him at Juhu Cemetery in Santa Cruz Mumbai at 5.00 pm today. He is known as the 'Tragedy King' for his romantic hero in classics like Mughal-e-Azam and Devdas. The news of his demise was first confirmed by former pulmonologist Dr Jalil Parkar who was treating the legendary superstar. Piping Moon quoted the doctor as saying that after Dilip Sahab's death, Saira Banu told him, "God took away the reason for my life. Without sir, I won't be able to think of anything. Everybody, please pray." Dilip Kumar was admitted to Hinduja Hospital, a non-covid-19 facility in Khar since last Tuesday. Jalil Parkar said, "He died at 7.30 a.m. due to a prolonged illness." Family friend Faisal Farooqi took to the superstar's Twitter handle at 8 am.
