Chennai: The daughter of veteran actor Rajinikanth, filmmaker Aishwarya Rajinikanth, filed a police complaint at Teynampet police station alleging that a theft of diamond and gold jewellery from her home. Aishwarya said in her complaint that she believed three of her housekeepers were involved. Diamond sets, uncut diamonds, vintage gold pieces, Navaratnam sets, ancient uncut diamond with gold, an aram necklace, and bangles weighing 60 sovereigns are among the lost items. The complaint say, she stored the jewellery in her locker after wearing it to her younger sister's wedding that year. The event was made public on February 10. Since the wedding, the locker has been moved three times. It was in her apartment on St. Mary's Road until August 2021. After their marriage, she moved into her home in CIT Colony and began living there with actor Dhanush. In September 2021, the locker was once more transferred back to the flat on St. Mary's Road. It was delivered to actor Rajinikanth's Poes Garden home on April 9, 2022. She said that the workers at her St. Mary's Road apartment knew that the locker keys were kept in her cabinet. They had access to the residence while she was abroad, she added in her complaint. A probe is being conducted. Aishwarya, who is a film director and producer, is currently directing the movie, 'Lal Salam' with Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant in the lead roles and her father Rajinikanth playing a cameo role in the movie.
