Big blow to RJD, many veteran leaders broke ties with party

A game of defection has started in the state before the Bihar assembly elections. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has received a double blow. Five RJD legislators have left the party and joined the Janata Dal-United (JDU). RJD vice-president Raghuvansh Prasad Singh has also resigned from his post. Before the assembly elections, a big crisis has emerged in front of the party.

The names of MLC Sanjay Prasad, room Alam, Radhacharan Seth, Rannvijay Singh and Dilip Rai are among the councillors leaving RJD. All the councillors have handed over a letter in this regard to the Executive Chairman of the Legislative Council. The speculations of these leaders leaving the party were being made for a long time because they have been making open statements about Tejashwi Yadav and the party.

RJD vice-president Raghuvansh Prasad Singh has resigned from his post. Raghuvansh Prasad is currently infected with Coronavirus and is undergoing treatment at AIIMS Hospital in Patna. Senior party leaders including Prasad are angry about the inclusion of Bahubali Rama Singh in the party. There are speculations that many big leaders of the party, including Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, may leave the RJD soon. There is a continuous claim from JDU and BJP that many RJD MLAs can leave the party and come to their side before the elections. Leaders of the ruling party claim that most of the RJD MLAs are angry over Tejashwi's leadership and may soon leave the party.
