Google to pull out Trusted Contacts App from Play store

Trusted Contacts application sharing the emergency location is supported by Google. The application introduced by Google in 2016 to share location information with people, Google discontinues its support from December 2020. Google says if the application has been installed in the device, the user can continue to use till December 1, 2020.

Try Location Sharing in Google Maps that reads the message on Google Trusted Contacts. Google further added if users have created trusted contacts, they can download it from the trusted contacts page until 1 December 2020.  The trusted contacts cannot be able to see the live location shared by users with them from the app after December 1, 2020. Google Maps has been helping the users since 2017 by sharing the real-time location. If the user feel unsafe or if they wants someone to know where exactly they are, the Trusted contacts application provided the feature. In case if your mobile is offline or unable to get the phone, the trusted contacts find the phone for  the user.

After introduction to Android devices, in July 2017 the same application was launched for ios. The company changed the time limit set to share the location with the Trusted contacts from minutes to hours. The announcement was made after Google announced new updates and changes for Chats and Hangouts. Last week, google said official transformation of the users from Google Hangouts to Google Chat will be made from next year.
