Kolkata: India's chief badminton coach Pullela Gopichand on Wednesday said that the reason for PV Sindhu's poor form since his title win at the World Championships is his busy schedule. Since winning the World Championship title in August, Sindhu has not made it to the last eight in any tournament other than the French Open. Gopichand said, “Sindhu has faced a difficult situation in the last few matches but I am sure she will come back. I think his schedule has been very busy after the World Championships. She played in Denmark and France after playing in China and Korea and then came back to play in China and played in Hong Kong. So I think the last two months have been tough for him. However, Gopichand said that Sindhu will come back strongly. He said, 'Many players around the world are facing difficulty in this and there are many players who are not able to perform well in these tournaments due to the busy schedule. I think she is a contender and I am sure she will come back. ' Gopichand also said that India's preparations for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics are going in the right direction. Gopichand and Sindhu are among the players to be honoured during the day-night Test starting between India and Bangladesh here from Friday.
