Top global professional network, LinkedIn has today agreed to sign an agreement with the HR department of the ministry for the purpose of creating placement opportunities for young Indian students. The MoU which was signed with LinkedIn’s Placement product will be adapted by many colleges in India which are affiliated by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). India is going through a serious job crises and the government seems too keen to take care of this problem. Though the government has won an election on the promise to solve the unemployment crises that the nation faces, there is still no clarity on the roadmap by which government wishes to solve this problem. The signing of MoU with a big firm such as LinkedIn is a very welcome decision in this aspect which can provide some kind of the relief to the students. It should also be noted that this is a very small step and may not be able to solve bigger problems but it surely can direct the intent of the government and the fact that they are very keen to solve this issue. The fact that this is going to be on college levels is the very welcoming sign for all the youth as it would not mean that there will be better chances of students getting campus placed. This is the very effective solution if you look at it as many companies are using LinkedIn for the purpose hiring freshers for a job.
