Now 6 family members can attend funeral of people died of COVID19

The West Bengal government has changed its guidelines regarding those who died of the Covid-19 pandemic. Now 6 members of the family can perform the last rites of the COVID-19 victim. Earlier, the family members could see the funeral of the Covid-19 victim from a distance. In the guidelines issued by the Health Ministry on 23 September it says, "The body of the Covid victim can be taken directly from the hospital to the crematorium / cemetery. Parents, spouses, children will be able to attend the cremation and all family members will have to go in a separate car".

Decision to constitute RRT for the treatment of critical patients: The West Bengal Health Ministry has decided to set up a 'Quick Response Team' (RRT) for the treatment of COVID19 infected. The senior official said on Monday that the RRT will have an anesthesiologist and a specialist in the Ministry of Medicine for the treatment of patients. The official said that this step is being taken to strengthen patient care services at Covid Hospitals across the state. According to the information received, "Specialists and other medical officers will have to stay near Covid Hospitals".

3,188 new cases of Covid were reported in Bengal: It has been learned that 3,188 new cases of Covid were reported in the state on Tuesday, taking the total number of people exposed to the deadly Covid virus to 2,53,768. The Health Ministry said in a bulletin that after the death of 62 more people, the number of people who died due to the pandemic in the state has reached 4,899. In which it was said that since Monday, 2,961 people have recovered and the rate of outbreak in the state is now 87.80 percent. The state currently has 26,064 active cases.
