Lucknow: The Revenue Department has given permission to implement the new amount of disaster relief fixed by the Central Government in the state. Under this decision, instead of Rs 59,100, if a person is disabled from 40 to 60 per cent in a disaster, now assistance of Rs 74,000 will be given from the State Disaster Response Fund. Similarly, for 60 to 80 per cent disability, instead of Rs 2 lakh, Rs 2.50 lakh will be given. However, there has been no increase in the amount received by the family dependent on the death of the disaster at Rs 4 lakh. The death caused by the attack of bull and nilgai has been kept in the category of disaster. If an injured in a natural calamity is admitted to the hospital for a period of more than a week, Rs 16,000 will be given. Till now the victims used to get Rs 12,700. At the same time, if admitted for less than a week, instead of 4200, Rs 5400 will be given. In the same disaster, if the livelihood of a family was affected, earlier Rs 60 per adult, Rs 45 per minor was received for 30 to 90 days. Now two adults of the family will get alimony for 30 to 90 days at the rate of Rs 213 per day. If clothes are destroyed, Rs.2500 will be given instead of Rs.1800 and Rs.2500 instead of Rs.2000 will be given if utensils are destroyed.
