Corona: Rs 1000 will be distributed to daily wage laborers, Yogi government releases money

The Yogi government of UP has declared a state disaster for one month after PM Modi's announcement to stop the spread of infection (Covid-19) or Coronavirus. After the approval of Governor Anandiben Patel on Tuesday, the state government has issued a notification in this regard. Covid-19, declared a state disaster and to deal with the conditions arising out of this, has released Rs 272.5 crore from the State Disaster Response Fund.

10 lakh people can lose their job due to corona outbreak

According to media reports, due to the outbreak of coronavirus, business activities have been affected, Rs 235 crore has been released to various districts to provide maintenance support to daily wage laborers. This amount will be used by the District Magistrates to distribute free food items to the eligible families and distribute 1000 rupees every month to the eligible persons.

Regarding the matter, Relief Commissioner Sanjay Goyal said that for the prevention of Covid-19, Rs.17.25 crore has been allocated to all districts for purchasing essential medical material and equipment etc. at district level so that supply of essential materials at district level to be ensured smoothly. Each of the medical colleges established in the six districts of Meerut, Meerut, Agra, Kanpur, Jhansi, Prayagraj and Gorakhpur. have been given. Medical colleges of 12 districts - Ambedkaranagar, Azamgarh, Saharanpur, Kannauj, Jalaun, Banda, Badaun, Ayodhya, Basti, Bahraich, Firozabad and Shahjahanpur - have been allocated Rs 50 lakh each and Rs 2 crore to Lucknow. This amount has been given to purchase necessary medical supplies and equipment etc. in medical colleges and to establish quarantine wards.
