Chinese shuttler Lin Dan said goodbye to Badminton, announces retirement

Chinese shuttler Lin Dan, one of the world's badminton players, has said goodbye to an international career. He has won the Olympics twice and five gold medals. He started playing in the year 2000 and won the gold medal in the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games. On China's social media Weibo, Dan announced a full stop to his 20-year-long career.

Lin Dan has won the prestigious All England Open Championship six times. He had completed the 'Super Grand Slam', which includes all nine major badminton world titles. The Chinese shuttler, who won titles at 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011, and 2013 World Championships. He won the Gold Medal in consecutive World Cups in 2005 and 2006. Lin is the only player in the world to win titles in Olympics, World Championships, Badminton World Cup, Thomas Cup, Super Series Masters Final, All England Open, Asian Games, Asian Championships, Sudirman Cup.

In the meantime, the whole country is suffering from the Corona epidemic. Right now, this epidemic has created a crisis situation all over the world.
