Gujarat: CM's big announcement, state transport will get 1000 new buses

Gandhinagar: On the occasion of New Year in Gujarat, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has given a new gift to all the people. Indeed, the Chief Minister has recently announced that, 'By the month of June, the State Road Transport Corporation will get 1000 new buses. These will have 50 electric buses. Not only this but the Chief Minister has also told that 'by June-July these 1000 buses will start plying on the roads'. Indeed, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani made this announcement just before the local body elections.

You all will know that local body elections are going to be held in Gujarat in February 2021, and just before that CM has announced this. Apart from this announcement, CM also laid the foundation stone of the project worth Rs 15 crore. It is being told that through video conferencing from Gandhinagar, the State Transport Corporation inaugurated five bus stations in Talod, Siddhpur, Ankleshwar, Chuda and Deodar. These five stations are built at a cost of Rs 12.89 crore.

Along with this, depot workshop was also inaugurated at Una at a cost of Rs.2.36 crore. Apart from all these, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for 10 new bus stations to be built at an estimated cost of Rs. 18.41 crore. It is being told that Deputy CM Nitin Patel was also involved in this virtual program and he laid the foundation stone of the bus station to be built at a cost of Rs 94.71 lakh in Vasai in Mehsana district.
