Chhota Udepur: Some parts of Gujarat, including Madhyagujarat, received heavy rains on Sunday. The highest rainfall here was in Chhota Udepur and Panchmahal districts. From 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., about 20 inches of water fell in Bodeli tehsil of Chhota Udepur and due to this rain, the rivers and rivulets started overflowing. The roads became islands. Water entered many shops and houses. Here, a flood situation has arisen in the tehsil and the Bodeli-Vadodara highway has been closed. At the same time, many roads of the tehsil have also been closed. Jambughoda in the Panchmahal district also received heavy rains. In the 24 hours that ended at 8 pm on Sunday, it rained more than 13 inches (340 mm).

 

On the other hand, Quant and Jetpur Pavi of Chhota Udepur district received about twelve and a half inches of rain. Here 10 inches (254) of water fell in Chhota Udepur town and 8 inches (204 millimetres) in Waghai of Dang. Not only this but more than four inches of rain also fell in eight tehsils of the state like Dang Ahwa, Dolwan of Tapi district, Sankheda of Chota Udepur, Sagbara of Narmada, Subir of Dang, Dediyapada of Narmada, Umarpada of Surat and Vansada tehsil of Navsari. Happened. It is being reported that 10 tehsils received two inches to three inches of rain while 19 tehsils received more than one inch (25 mm) of rain and 110 tehsils received less than one inch of rain. In fact, due to heavy rains, most of the rivers and streams of Central Gujarat are in a state of overflow and people are facing a lot of trouble due to water logging in the lower areas.

 

On the other hand, the MET department has warned of heavy to very heavy rain for the next four days in most parts of the state. Under this, heavy to very heavy rainfall will occur in Chhota Udepur, Panchmahal, Dang, Narmada, Navsari, Bharuch, Surat and Tapi districts today i.e. on Monday. Not only this, but heavy rain is also expected in Ahmedabad, Aravali, Anand, Banaskantha, Dahod, Khera, Mahisagar, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Rajkot, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Girsomnath, Junagadh and Porbandar. At the same time, heavy to heavy and heavy rain can last for the next four days.
