Gujarat's Statehood Day: PM Modi, Amit Shah Extend Greetings

Gandhinagar (Gujarat): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has conveyed his warm wishes to the people of Gujarat on the occasion of Gujarat's Statehood Day. In a message shared on his official X account, the Prime Minister tweeted, "On this special day marking Gujarat's Statehood, we celebrate the rich cultural heritage, impressive accomplishments, and the vibrant spirit of the people of Gujarat."

He expressed his hope for the continued prosperity of the state, stating, "May Gujarat keep prospering, flourishing, and serving as an inspiration for generations to come, with its values of entrepreneurship, resilience, and inclusive growth. My heartfelt best wishes to the people of Gujarat."

In another tweet, PM Modi remarked, "Greetings on Gujarat Sthapana Diwas. Gujarat stands out for its overall progress and distinctive culture. I pray for the state to reach new heights of development in the future."

Meanwhile, Home Minister Amit Shah also extended his greetings on Gujarat's Statehood Day via Twitter, saying, "Warm wishes to all Gujaratis on the occasion of Gujarat Foundation Day." Appreciating Gujarat's contributions, Shah highlighted its rich culture and significant role in the nation's development.

"Gujarat, known for its vibrant culture, warm hospitality, and natural beauty, has played a pivotal role in the nation's integration since the independence movement. Today, Gujarat continues to contribute significantly to the country's progress through its diligence, dedication, and cooperation. On this foundation day, I wish the people of Gujarat continued prosperity and comprehensive development," he tweeted.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, who is contesting from Porbandar in the Lok Sabha elections, also conveyed his wishes to the people of Gujarat. "In my Gujarat, the land of pride and devotion to Somnath Mahadev and Dwarkadhish, there exists a transformative energy. Every particle here exudes positivity, making Gujarat the preferred destination for people worldwide. Warmest regards on Gujarat Foundation Day," he shared on X.

Gujarat Foundation Day, also known as Gujarat Sthapana Divas, is celebrated annually on May 1st. Following the partition of Bombay based on language in 1960, two new states, Maharashtra and Gujarat, were established.
