Cinema celebrates Malala Day by presenting the teaser of Malala’s biopic: Here's a view

Malala Yousufzai is celebrating her birthday today. To mark the brave girl’s birthday we celebrate the day as Malala Day but instead of this, today filmmakers have provided a very wonderful present to the struggle of the girl who born and brought up in Swat Valley, Pakistan.

‘Gul Makai', the Amjad Khan directorial biopic of the Nobel laureate is already a way to pay tribute and honor to the girl bravery. Filmmakers today have released a small glimpse of the whole journey. The teaser starts with a small appearance of the Taliban Military and then starts the journey of a girl who aspires to study further. Reem Shaikh is portraying Malala whereas Divya Dutta will be seen in her mother's role.

The director informed that he tried every effort to keep the story real for which he said: "Writer Bhaswati Chakrabarty spent two-and-a-half years on research, ensuring that we got even the minutest detail right". He also expressed: "When I first read about Malala, what struck me instantly was her courage and determination,"

On the choice of biopic's name he said: "I named it 'Gul Makai', because that was the pen name Malala used when reporting on the conditions that prevailed in her native place (Swat Valley, Pakistan)My film is a tribute to this young girl who is out to make a difference,"
