In 1988, a young man, George cured himself of OCD ( obsessive compulsive disorder ) with a gunshot wound when he tried to commit suicide. He got sick of suffering from such mental disorder and expressed his thoughts that he would die than to live a life of compulsions.
Left with no other option he shot himself with a 22- caliber rifle. The bullet got lodged in the left frontal lobe of George's brain. Luckily the bullet affected the area of brain responsible for causing OCD.The surgeons were able to remove the bullet from his head.
He was again a straight A- grade student in his college.Though after the gunshot wound he suffered minor OCD problems but that were nothing compared to his previous problems.
