Guwahati: According to reports, four coaches of the Howrah-bound Guwahati-Howrah Special Express train derailed. The train had left from Guwahati railway station at around 12:20 pm. This information was given by Guneet Kaur, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO), Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR). According to him, the incident took place in the Guwahati-Galpara-Bongaigaon section of Rangiya division of Northeast Frontier Railway. As per reports, there were no casualties and no passengers were involved. NFR CPRO said that four coaches of the train including the pantry car derailed. CPRO Kaur said, "The passengers of the affected coaches have been shifted to other coaches." He said that on getting information about the incident, senior officers of NFR Headquarters and Rangiya Division reached the spot. In addition, he stressed that necessary assistance was given to all the affected passengers. Also the repair work has started.
