Gwalior: The government has made road, water and electricity its first priority, but in the meantime, some such views have come to the fore. At present, the city of Gwalior is moving under the Smart City Project, but if the main roads of the city are left, then pits and dust can be seen flying here. Here the civic body elections are going to be held in the coming months and in such a situation the issue of bad roads can be huge. The corporation is not ready to say anything about this. The responsibility of the condition of the roads is with the municipal corporation, but the officials of the corporation are not ready to say anything. At present, the condition of the city is poor and more than half of the city is dug up due to sewer and water lines. If the rules are followed, whenever the work of the sewer and water line company is completed, then the road was to be repaired immediately, but it is not being done. In this regard, Congress MLA from Gwalior East Satish Sikarwar says, "People are reluctant to come out on the streets of the city, we came from bullock carts to helicopters, but the streets of the city have become bad from the village roads. The municipal corporation became hell corporation, if the condition remains the same then people will start migrating from here ”. Apart from this, local MP Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar states that "Due to the Amrut scheme, laying of sewage and water lines has taken place at many places. It is the responsibility of the contractor to construct the road as it was before the work. There is a lot of delay from the municipal corporation, although the work of new roads is going on fast."
