Actress Waheeda Rehman, who established herself in the Hindi cine world with super hit films like 'CID', 'Guide' and 'Chaudhvi Ka Chand'. Her most successful film in the career was 'Khamoshi' in 1970. She was accompanied by Bollywood's first superstar Rajesh Khanna. At a ceremony, famous actor-filmmaker Gurudutt looked at Waheeda, after which her luck shines. Waheeda was born on 3 February 1938 in Chengalpatt, Tamil Nadu to a Tamil-Urdu speaking family. Her father was DM, which led to his posting in many parts of the country. In 1948, due to the sudden demise of the father, a number of troubles broke out on Waheeda. Her mother also passed away in the year 1955. A year after her father's death, Waheeda, who was proficient in Bharatanatyam, appeared in the lead role in the Telugu film 'Rosulu Marai'. The film was a success and Waheeda was spotted by Bollywood's renowned actor-filmmaker Gurudutt at a party held to celebrate its success. Gurudutt immediately offered her the film 'CID'. After this, she never looked back. Guru Dutt gave Waheeda his film 'C.I.D.' Apart from this, Waheeda also acted in five of his popular films including 'Pyaasa', '12 O'Clock', 'Kagaz Ke Phool', 'Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam' and 'Chaudhvi Ka Chand'. Waheeda and the evergreen actor Devanand became very popular in Hindi cinema. They gave five blockbuster films together. Waheeda has been awarded Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan. She has also been a National Award Winner.
