Harry Styles Makes History With First Grammy Nominated Member of One Direction

The English singer Harry Styles recently made history. The 26-year-old songwriter got nominated as a solo artist for the first time at the 2021 Grammys. Styles' sophomore solo album scored three nominations on Tuesday as the Recording Academy announced the nominees for the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards.

His three nominations made him the first One Direction member to receive Grammy Award nominations. The first One Direction member Harry now is recognized after the group permanently snubbed by the awards show. He was also nominated as a Best Pop Vocal Album for Fine Line, as well as for Best Pop Solo Performance for Watermelon Sugar and Best Music Video for Adore You. Apart from Grammy nominations this year, he debuted at No.1 on the U.S. Billboard 200, breaking the record as the biggest sales debut from an English male artist in the US. Styles became a bonafide solo pop superstar, paving his own path in music, as well as fashion and entertainment.

Styles' celebrate the 10-year anniversary of 1D in July penning down a heartfelt message about his time in the band. "I’ve been struggling to put into words how grateful I am for everything that’s happened over the last ten years......I will treasure it for the rest of my life. None of this would be possible without the support you’ve given along the way." He thanked everyone for their support before saluting his former groupmates Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, and Zayn Malik.
