Bulldozer runs at drug smuggler's house in Rohtak, accused said this

CHANDIGARH: Amidst heavy uproar in the Khokhrakot area of Rohtak district of Haryana, police rammed a drug smuggler's house by using a bulldozer. The smuggler alleged that some police officers had taken a bribe of Rs 10 lakh from him in return for not breaking the house. Even after this, the house was demolished. The women and children of the smuggler's family were crying bitterly while protesting against the demolition of the house. But the sabotage squad, which was accompanied by the police force, carried out this operation.

The name of the drug smuggler is Jogendra. He said, 'Recently a demolition notice was pasted at my house. Five days ago, some police officers came to meet me and said that if I give them Rs 10 lakh, they will not break into my house. We gave them the same money. Yet our house is being demolished.' The smuggler has alleged that some officials of the CIA-I wing and the Narcotics Cell of the police were forcing him to sell drugs and also collect protection money every month.

When asked whether he or his family members are involved in drug smuggling, Jogendra said, "My mother and I used to smuggle drugs earlier, but we have stayed away from it for the last six-seven months." Superintendent of Police Uday Singh Meena has said on the bribery case that appropriate action will be taken after investigating the matter, provided the complainant comes forward and lodges a formal complaint.
