Chandigarh: CM Manohar Lal Khattar in Haryana has given a big gift to government employees and pensioners. On the lines of the Central Government, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar has announced an increase in dearness allowance (DA) of state government employees (Haryana Govt Employees) by 11 percent. According to the new government order, the Dearness Allowance of employees has been increased from 17 percent to 28 percent. The DA hike will come into effect from July 01, 2021. DPR Haryana reported on Twitter that "Haryana government has increased the rate of Dearness Allowance of pensioners and family pensioners from 17% to 28%. The hike in Dearness Allowance will come into effect from 1st July 2021. The increased Dearness Allowance also includes the rate of inflation payable from 1st January 2020, 1st July 2020, and 1st January 2021.'' Earlier, the Central Government had announced an increase in the dearness allowance (DA) of employees. Recently, the Union Cabinet has approved raising the Dearness Allowance to Central Government employees and dearness relief to pensioners to 28 percent from July 1, 2021. This is an 11 percent increase in the current rate of 17 percent of basic pay/pension.
