Health Ministry assured, every problem of migrant workers will be solved

On Wednesday, the Health Ministry called for providing social security to migrant workers, saying that it is going through social, psychological and emotional crisis in the event of lockdown. The concerns faced by such migrant workers are related to food, shelter, health care, fear of getting infected or spreading infection, loss of wages, worry about family and fear.

On this matter, the ministry said in a document, 'Sometimes, they also have to face harassment and negative reactions from the local community. All this strengthens the demand for strong social security. It was further stated that migrant workers are taken to temporary shelters to spend a few days, which also have isolation wards. The minds of workers are filled with concerns and apprehensions arising from various problems and they require psycho-social support.

In his statement, he further said that under such support, the ministry listed some measures which include treating every migrant worker with respect, sympathy and compassion. To assure every person that their family is good and everything is being provided to them. This situation will not last long and everything will be fine. Soon normal life will start again.
