Delhi experienced significant traffic disruptions on Friday due to heavy rainfall that led to severe congestion and waterlogging across the city. The downpour caused major traffic jams, particularly in areas like Dhaula Kuan and South Moti Bagh. The Delhi Traffic Police issued several advisories to help commuters navigate the affected areas. Waterlogging near GTK Depot on GTK Road has led to traffic diversions towards the Wazirabad side. Drivers are advised to use Road No. 51 to reach the NPL area. MB Road is also facing delays due to ongoing construction work by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) near the SDM office. Commuters are encouraged to plan their routes in advance to avoid this area. Additional disruptions were reported on New Rohtak Road at Anand Parvat, where waterlogging is impacting both directions from Zakhira to Kamal T-Point. The Traffic Police advised that traffic coming from Liberty Cinema towards Punjabi Bagh has been rerouted. Vehicles are being diverted from Kamal T-Point to Vir Banda Bairagi Marg, reaching Punjabi Bagh via Swami Narayan Marg, Inderlok, and Ashik Vihar. Drivers are urged to check traffic updates and plan their journeys accordingly to minimize delays.
