Helicopter Crash in Pune: Two Feared Dead Amid Uncertainty Over Ownership

PUNE: In a tragic incident on Wednesday morning, a helicopter crashed in the Bavdhan area of Pune, Maharashtra, sparking fears that two individuals may have lost their lives. The crash took place around 6:45 am in hilly terrain, according to initial reports from the local authorities.

Senior Inspector Kanhaiya Thorat from Hinjewadi police station said, "A helicopter has crashed in the Bavdhan area. As per initial information, two people are feared dead, but the exact identity and ownership of the chopper are yet to be confirmed as it is still engulfed in flames."

The incident has raised concerns as officials are still working to determine whether the helicopter was privately or government-owned. Emergency response teams have been deployed to the scene, and firefighting efforts are underway to bring the flames under control.
