Nihiwatu, a luxury hotel on the Indonesian island of Sumba, has been voted the best in the world by readers of Travel + Leisure.
According to AFP (Relaxnews), “Nihiwatu topped the publication’s annual World’s Best Awards in the hotel category due to its modern approach to delivering luxury that factors in elements such as philanthropy, adventure and activity as well as the personal touches usually expected from the world’s top hotels.”
Lunch with a view, The hotel’s Executive Chef, Ben McRae, prepares food by using local, organic ingredients. From tree houses to rooms in the ‘Puncak’ (rooms overlooking a lush jungle), the hotel has a variety of accommodation options.
The open-air Yoga Pavilion has great views, where people can attend solo or group sessions. Horse riding and Equine Alignment Therapy is one of the many activities guests can indulge in at the hotel.
