Hero MotoCorp sales rise by 5% in December

Hero MotoCorp has announced 5.02 per cent increase in total sales at 4,47,335 units in December. In a statement, the company said that it had sold 4,24,845 units in the same month of the previous year.

In the domestic market, sales stood at 4,25,033 units last month as compared with 4,12,009 units in the same period a year ago, up 3.16 per cent. Total motorcycle sales stood at 4,15,099 units last month as against 4,03,625 units in December 2019, up 2.84 per cent. Total scooter sales increased 51.91 per cent to 32,236 units as compared with 21,220 units in the year-ago month.

Meanwhile, Royal Enfield has registered a rise of 37%  in the last month of 2020.  The company on Friday announced that it has a rise of 37% in December sales. The retro-classic bike maker recorded an overall sales of 68,995 units last month as against 50,416 units sold in the corresponding month a year ago.
