Golden Globes Changes Film Eligibility Rules Due To Coronavirus Crisis

The Hollywood Press Association (HFPA) has changed the Golden Globe Awards rules due to the coronavirus. According to the new guidelines, distributors will no longer have to screen the film in Greater Los Angeles for institution members. At present, the Academy has not made any changes in its rules.

All theaters and screening rooms are currently closed due to the Corona epidemic. According to the old rules, distributors had to screen for members of the organization in the film Los Angeles. In such a situation, the organization has changed the rules for the award ceremony to be held in 2021. According to the new rules, film distributors will now talk to the institution and set the date for screening. After this, distributors will send a link or DVD to the film screen to all the members, so that the members will be able to watch the film at their home. According to Variety, the new rules will be applicable from 15 March to 30 April 2020.

Let us tell you that in the statement issued by HFPA, the organization will continue to assess the impact of Kovid 19 on film screenings, motion picture and television distribution and exhibition. According to the statement, changes in the rules made for the Golden Globes can be carried forward.
