Fear of Corona! This state withdrew the decision to open the school

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh's Jairam Thakur government has again postponed the date of opening of schools in the state. According to media reports, the Himachal Pradesh government has now decided to shut down schools till September 04, 2021. State Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj said on Tuesday that the state government has taken the decision in view of the corona threat. The school was earlier scheduled to start on August 28, but the decision has been withdrawn.

According to an official notice issued earlier, teaching and non-teaching staff were allowed to attend schools. However, the state government has decided to postpone the date of reopening of schools in the state due to a sudden increase in corona cases. The state education minister said the decision is in the best interest of students and other stakeholders.

The Himachal government had launched a two-day special drive to educate teachers and non-academic employees, including mid-day meal workers, about the proper treatment of Covid-19. The campaign was aimed at teaching school teachers and staff to implement SOP effectively. Earlier, the schools were scheduled to reopen from August 28.
